Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI’s) are infections acquired within a healthcare facility such as a hospital, nursing home, or ambulance. It is not always possible to pinpoint exactly where the pathogen (harmful bacteria) was picked up, but studies suggest that 1 in 9 hospital patients get an HAI and that these are the 4th leading cause of death in Canada.1
At IFTNA we are committed to finding viable solutions to greatly reduce the incidence of HAI’s. The Protx2™ range of products work to target harmful bacteria and break the chain of infection at the source. For more information on our products and how they are effecting change in today’s healthcare facilities please visit our products pages.
